It all began in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I was born
On December 4, 1981 (YES, I'm a sagitarrius). The star child, Aisha Melissa Taylor was born to Mr. Raymond L. Taylor and Mrs. Marie A. Taylor.
I wasn't their first child. I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful sister Ayana Taylor who has become the joy of my life.
Things didn't always seem that way. We couldn't stand each other then. Now, we pray for the day when we can spend time together.
Growing up on the streets of Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY wasn't always easy. I managed to overcome the negativities and excel academically at P.S. 269, I.S. 278, and Franklin D. Roosevelt H.S.
Currently, I am a junior at The University of South Carolina majoring in Criminal Justice.
It is my goal to one day soon, attend Brooklyn Law School and become a for criminal offenders.
I currently serve as President of The Association of African American Students which is the largest student organization on campus.
Formerly, I was treasurer and 2nd Vice President. This is a new opportunity for me to display leadership and make a difference at USC.
While growing up, I was fortunate enough to have the love and guidance of Jesus Christ instilled in my heart.
This has allowed me to form a personal relationship with him. If it were not for my church Salem Missionary Baptist Church
I would not be the person who I am today. I now attend Brookland Baptist Church while I am at school.
It has been persons such as Reverend Dr. James A. Thornton, Reverend Dr. Thomas J.Boyd, and Deborah Rutherford (aunt Debbie) who have touched my life in so many ways.
